Death toll rises to 9 in Guangxi vehicle plunge

Four more people have been recovered from the river after a vehicle plunged off a bridge in Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, bringing the confirmed death toll to nine.
According to a statement released by county authorities on Monday, as of 8 pm, rescue teams had retrieved the four victims, who were confirmed dead at the scene. Three have been identified by public security authorities and their families, while the identity of the fourth is pending verification.
The emergency response command center said search operations remain underway. Further updates will be released as the situation develops.
