Crabapple blossom events draw spring crowds to Tianjin
As spring unfolds, flower events across Tianjin are drawing crowds of visitors.
The 4th Jinyu Heping Crabapple Blossom Festival opened during the recent Qingming Festival holiday and will run through April 12, featuring flower-lined streets and performances at major city landmarks.
"I came to Tianjin specifically to see the crabapple blossoms during the Qingming Festival holiday," said Lin Yiru, a visitor from Zhejiang province. "The city has its own unique charm, and the area around Minyuan Square was lively and full of energy."
Tianjin University and Nankai University are also joining the springtime fun with crabapple events of their own. Their campuses have been opened to the public, offering blossom views and cultural activities.
