0BEIJING - An earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale hit Papua New Guinea at 6:41 Beijing time on Monday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 4.8 degrees south latitude and 144.6 degrees east longitude with a depth of 80 km, according to the CENC.
