Tinatini (Malaysia)
In Malaysia, a traditional dish is served on New Year’s Eve during the "reunion dinner". Called yee sang, or Prosperity Toss, it is a Teochew-style raw fish salad that is mixed by everyone at the table. In this dinner one is not allowed to dwell on negative thoughts or use foul language while speaking. At Chinese New Year, people exchange New Year cards with their relatives and friends.
