Commemorating ancestors to carry on filial duties in NE China

The city of Changchun, Jilin province held a commemoration ceremony for ancestors on the traditional Chongyang (Double 9) Festival which falls on the 9th day of the 9th lunar month and comes on Oct 21 this year, Chinanews.com reports. The organizers say they hope they can draw the public’s attention to filial duties through the commemoration activities.
