Chinese cultural elements can also be found in the world of Cuban art. For example, one rectangle percussion instrument called the “Caja China” evolved from the Chinese Drum, and is played with one drumstick. Moreover, the music of “Corneta China” (“suona” in Chinese, a reed instrument with a conical metal bell), has enjoyed enduring popularity and is part of Cuban traditional music customs.
