Chinese porcelain popular in Brazil since the 18 century
After entering Brazil in the 18th century, Chinese porcelain became popularized as both utensils and a form of art. The possession of Chinese porcelain appeared on the asset lists of aristocratic families. At that time, plates from China were worth four to twelve times of those from Europe.
