China tank truck explodes, casualties unknown

LANZHOU - A tank truck exploded near a gas station in northwest China's Gansu Province Monday morning, but it was not immediately clear whether casualties were caused.
The accident happened at around 10 am in Xigu District in the provincial capital Lanzhou, said an official with the provincial safety administration.
He said it was unclear what the truck was carrying or what caused the blast.
Rescue work was going on.
