Wangjutou, is a walnut-rich village in Lantian county, Shaanxi province. As walnuts are getting ripe, people are starting to get busy with the harvest. Laborers can receive good money peeling walnuts, although the work is hard. After the work, each woman will earn 200 yuan in compensation for their efforts during whole night. At present, the cost of peeled walnuts is about 46 yuan (about $7.50) per kilogram in Beijing.
