ACFTU official under investigation for serious violations
Xu Liuping, vice-president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, is being investigated for suspected serious violations of Party disciplines and national laws, China's top anti-corruption watchdogs announced on Saturday.
The announcement was disclosed online by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Commission of Supervision. No further details have been released.
Public records show that Xu, a native of Jiangsu province, born in 1964, joined the Party in January 1987 and began his career in May 1988.
For years, Xu worked for China South Industries Group Corporation, major defense contractor, where he held various high-level positions. From 2013 to 2017, he served as the general manager of the corporation.
Between 2017 and 2023, he served as the chairman of the China FAW Group Corporation before becoming the vice-president of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions.
