This year marks the 75th anniversary of the peaceful liberation of Xizang. Seventy-five years may be just a ripple in the long river of history, but for this snow-covered plateau, it has been an earth-shaking transformation.
After 75 years of development, the evidence of progress is carved into the plateau itself, in its hospitals, classrooms, highways and rising life expectancy. The achievements are lived by 3.74 million Tibetans every single day.
