5 dead, 5 missing after vehicle plunges off bridge in Guangxi

The death toll has risen to five, with five people still missing, after a vehicle plunged off a bridge in Huanjiang Maonan autonomous county, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, on Saturday.
A female victim was found dead in a downstream section of the river at around 5 pm on Monday, increasing the death toll from four to five, according to Xinhua News Agency.
After the incident, the county activated an emergency response, mobilizing emergency management, public security, fire and rescue, and medical personnel to the scene. First responders continue to conduct extensive search and rescue operations, as well as medical treatments.
The cause of the accident remains under further investigation.
