The China (Inner Mongolia)-United States (Oregon) Business, Culture and Tourism Promotion Conference was held in Portland, Oregon, on May 13 local time, bringing together around 80 government and business representatives from both sides to explore opportunities for cooperation and shared development.

During the event, officials from the Inner Mongolia Department of Commerce and Business Oregon introduced their respective development strengths and economic potential.

Representatives from companies and organizations, including China's dairy giants Yili and Mengniu, Erdos Group, and Oregon-based craft cider brand 19Acres, presented key areas for cooperation in the dairy, cashmere, and grass seed industries.

At the conference, Mengniu reached an alfalfa trade cooperation agreement with Oregon, highlighting the growing achievements in agricultural and livestock cooperation between the two regions.

Meanwhile, Youran Dairy signed a strategic agreement with US-based Blue Mountain Hay, combining the strengths of Inner Mongolia's dairy industry with Oregon's high-quality forage resources to create broader opportunities for industrial collaboration.

Oregon business representatives said the visit had further strengthened bilateral exchanges and expressed willingness to deepen practical cooperation with Inner Mongolia enterprises and turn more agreements into tangible results.

Following the conference, a cultural delegation from Inner Mongolia staged performances featuring Mongolian long-song folk music, throat singing, horsehead fiddle performances, traditional dance, and calligraphy demonstrations. The performances served as a cultural bridge, transcending language barriers and promoting deeper people-to-people exchanges between China and the US.
