The 2026 (2nd) Shanghai High-level International Talents Exchange Conference and HSK Study in China and Career Expo kicked off on Sunday at Fudan University in Shanghai, offering international students more opportunities for further development.

Up to 50 renowned companies, such as JD, Alibaba, Xiaomi and Tencent, representatives from nearly 40 institutions of higher education, including Fudan University, Peking University, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, together with international students, returned Chinese teachers, and volunteers gathered in Fudan, to discuss the future development of international talents.

Yang Zhou, deputy director of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education, said, "At present, the center has established Chinese education cooperation with more than 190 countries around the world. As a brand project guided by the center, the 'HSK Study in China and Career Expo' has been held in 51 countries, serving more than 900,000 people and helping more than 200,000 learners to study or work in China."

Ye Linlin, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, said, "Studying in China has increasingly become an option for international youth, which not only means completing studies in China, but also linking the individual's development with the country's development. In the future, Shanghai will provide comprehensive services to talent from all over the world, and constantly optimize its foreign talent service system."

"International students should plant their roots in China and connect with the world; universities should break boundaries and promote the alignment between talent and market demand; enterprises should include international talent in their innovative and global strategies to realize talent and ecology co-creation," Fang Ming, deputy chief of the Party committee of Fudan University, said.
