2026 Beijing Xiangshan Forum Navigator Meeting concludes
The 2026 Beijing Xiangshan Forum Navigator Meeting concluded in Beijing on May 9.
The three-day meeting, held from May 7 to 9, focused on the theme "Global Security Governance: Challenges and Approaches". Over 120 defense officials, experts, scholars, and media representatives from more than 40 countries and international organizations attended.
The event featured discussions on International Order and International Rule of Law, New Security Challenges in the Asia-Pacific, Responsibility for Safeguarding International Common Security, and Risk Control in the Military Application of Emerging Technologies. A special session, titled "The Role of International Forums in Global Security Governance", was also held to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Beijing Xiangshan Forum.
The navigator meeting, co-hosted by the China Association for Military Science and the China Institute for International Strategic Studies, is a key forward-looking event for the main forum. It provides an open, inclusive, and equal platform for international security dialogue, enabling participants to exchange ideas and share perspectives.
