Shanghai will host the 7th Shanghai Y50 Forum for innovation and entrepreneurship on Sunday, bringing together young entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders to showcase the city's growing appeal as an innovation hub.

As part of the forum, Shanghai Jiao Tong University is hosting the "AI+" science and technology carnival, with exhibitions on student entrepreneurship projects, innovative achievements and displays from the city's youth innovation bases.

The forum's program includes opening ceremonies, policy interpretations and panel discussions, while a highlight will be the unveiling of a comprehensive policy service package offering one-stop authoritative guidance for young entrepreneurs.

"We are expanding our global influence by connecting with innovative youth from countries including the United States and Germany," said Nan Yi, chairman of Shanghai Huantai investment group.

"This creates opportunities for global talent to exchange ideas and collaborate in Shanghai, empowering youth innovation with an international perspective."

The forum's science and technology carnivals will focus on providing precise investment and financing services across specialized sectors, including integrated circuits, biomedicine, artificial intelligence and future industries.

"We're connecting students from more than 10 universities with over a hundred investment institutions, bringing together thousands of young creators, providing extensive meeting spaces, and facilitating hundreds of millions of yuan in financial support," said Zhang Le, senior director of global public affairs at Fosun International.
