The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 Organising Committee held a joint news conference in Sanya, Hainan province, on April 23, hailing the sporting extravaganza as a major achievement.
Answering a question from China Daily, OCA Director General Husain Al Musallam lauded the 6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2026 — stating that the Games truly embodied the "One Asia" concept proposed by the OCA.
By bringing together different parts of Asia through folklore, food festivals and other cultural means, the event helped young people build lasting connections that go far beyond sports, he added.
