Samar Kerkeni, a foreign expert from China Daily website, embarked on a two-day trip to Yangzhou, Jiangsu province last week.
On the first day, Samar soaked up the festive spirit of Lantern Festival at Songjiacheng Sports and Leisure Park, where she got hands-on with several intangible cultural heritage items, especially Yangzhou lantern art. The following day, she experienced the city's springtime charm as she strolled through blooming flowers at Slender West Lake.
