A new scroll along the river: The prosecution chapter
Inspired by the timeless masterpiece Along the River During the Qingming Festival (Qingming Shanghe Tu), which vividly depicts the prosperity of ancient Bianliang (present-day Kaifeng city of Central China's Henan province), this video, titled "A New Scroll Along the River: The Prosecution Chapter", unfolds a contemporary "scroll" of cultural guardianship, painted through the lens of procuratorial work.
Centered on the performance of procuratorial duties, it tells the story of how prosecutors helped protect the Zhouqiao Bridge site. When the relic faced seepage risks, prosecutors invited cultural heritage experts to conduct on-site assessments and issued procuratorial recommendations, urging effective rectification through public interest litigation.
It also showcases their efforts in protecting intangible cultural heritage, promoting the inheritance of Zhuxian town woodblock New Year prints and effectively safeguarding Bian embroidery's geographical indication by cracking down on infringement.
Through earnest duty fulfillment, prosecutors are painting a new "scroll along the river" in the present day, protecting cultural relics and sustaining cultural continuity for the nation.
