Academic insights were also shared. Wang Yini, an associate professor at Hunan University, discussed cultural communication between Hunan and Africa. She highlighted a collaborative ecosystem involving government, media, academia, and companies that allows African audiences to become active participants rather than passive recipients. "This model reflects China's approach of pursuing shared development while respecting cultural differences," she said.
Wang cited the African Youth Survey 2024 by the Ichikowitz Family Foundation, which found that African youth view China as the most influential international actor in their countries, with 82 percent perceiving its influence positively.
