In 2019, President Xi Jinping inspected the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. Five years later, as the venue for Ministerial Conference of the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries — or simply Forum Macao — and many other significant events in the Macao SAR, the complex has provided a platform for various institutions, promoting trade and economic cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
