Latest list of China's higher education institutions released

BEIJING -- China had a total of 2,956 higher education institutions, the Ministry of Education said Monday citing statistics as of June 15, 2019.
They were comprised of 2,688 general higher education institutions and 268 adult higher education institutions, the ministry said.
The figures were unveiled as the ministry released a latest list of higher education institutions with details of names, codes, sponsors and cities where they are located in.
