As China's annual two sessions convene in Beijing, thousands of national lawmakers and political advisers gather at the Great Hall of the People. China Daily reporter Yan An interviewed multiple NPC deputies, including Dai Yin, who works for a newspaper serving elderly readers.
For seniors like?Liu Manli, Dai's work hits close to home. "Her focus really speaks to what elderly people need," she said. "She's tackled many problems that really matter to us,” Liu added.
"That's what NPC deputies are for," Dai responded.
For four consecutive years, Dai put forward suggestions to make medication labels more friendly for senior citizens. So far, more than 1,700 medicines have been approved for label redesign.
