Children's Day in India

In India, Children's Day is celebrated on Nov 14, the birthday of legendary freedom fighter and independent India's first Prime Minister, Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru.

As a tribute to Nehru and his love for children, Children's Day is celebrated on this date.

This day reminds people to renew their commitment to the welfare of children and encourage young people to live by Nehru's qualities and dreams.
