MANILA -- Chinese President Xi Jinping on Wednesday voiced full support to the work of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Chief Executive Leung Chun-ying and the HKSAR government.

Xi met with Leung on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting, which is being held in the Philippine capital.

After hearing the report made by Leung on recent situation in Hong Kong and the work of the HKSAR government, Xi said that the HKSAR government has shifted its focus onto economy and people's livelihood, which received positive response from all circles in Hong Kong.
