Singapore hosts conference on brain research

SINGAPORE - Singapore on Monday hosted "Decade of the Mind" Conference, the first such conference in Asia to promote awareness of brain and cognitive science research done in Asia and from around the world.

Fifteen world renowned cognitive scientists converge here to share recent advances in their respective fields. The topics discussed include spoken word recognition and visual word recognition; mind-brain issues and sleep research, among others.

The event will take place from October 18 to 20.
