300 children get poisoned by milk in Dominica

SANTO DOMINGO: At least 300 children were poisoned on Tuesday after drinking milk at a school breakfast in the northeast of the Dominican Republic, local health officials said.
The children at the Gregorio Luperon de Rio San Juan elementary school in Maria Trinidad Sanchez province developed symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea and were taken to the health center Desiderio Acosta, the director of the center said.
It was the third time that a group poisoning related with school breakfast had been reported this year.
The supply of breakfast milk had been suspended at the schools from mid-March to April 12 following the group poisoning cases.
