Traffic accident kills five, injures 11 in Colombia

Updated: 2009-08-31 11:41 BOGOTA: At least five people died and 11 others were injured in a traffic accident in the northern Colombian province of Atlantico, traffic police said Sunday. A bus overturned due to possible technical problems on the road connecting the cities of Cartagena and Barranquilla, traffic police chief Edwin Naranjo said. It is also possible that the accident was caused by the bus driver's fatigue driving, he added. All the injured have been sent to hospital. Police are still investigating the causes at the accident scene. |
