Alan Olav Walker is a Norwegian DJ and record producer, who was born in Northampton, England. He is best known for the electronic dance music single "Faded", which struck gold in international markets, receiving platinum certification in over 10 different countries. Walker signed with MER Musikk under Sony Music Sweden and his next single, "Faded", was a remastered vocal version of "Fade". It was released 25 November and featured uncredited female vocalist Iselin Solheim. The song topped the Norwegian VG-lista singles chart and the Swedish Sverigetopplistan charts, iTunes charts in 32 countries, as well as entering top 10 in Spotify Global Chart.
