Chen Xiuqin, 72, retired from a transport company in 1989. Her pension and money from her daughters assured a sufficient life for her. One of Chen's daughters is married to an American and lives in the United States. Life seems happy. However, loneliness was somewhat inevitable after Chen's husband passed away. She talks to her daughter every week on the phone and the Internet, but it's nothing compared to a face-to-face communication. Chen is hesitant to move abroad with her daughter because of the language barrier and different life habits. In other people's eyes, Chen lives a good life. But, for Chen, real happiness comes when she is with her family.
