"MLB is the best league in the world. The Japanese have proven their ability there and I hope my players can also make a difference there one day," said Li Wei, the leader of Dacheng Baseball Club.
Li started his team in 2004. Now his team is the champion of the 28th Boys Nankyu Baseball World Championships. But among the 40 boys in the club, including 4 orphans and 2 from Tibet, only 11 students pay the full fee of 20,000 yuan ($2,900) per year. China Daily visited Li and his team.
