It's not just offering funds, many local residents have also volunteered to donate their blood. Some of these are the special policemen who, after long hours on duty, made their way promptly to blood donation buses.
Li Zhiguang, head of Hefei Special Police Detachment, said, "We want to do the best we can to make our contribution to China's national unity."
