Man dies after drinking binge

A Beijing man died after drinking too much at a wedding ceremony, and the host had to take part of the responsibility for his death, reported Beijing Times on Sunday.

Li was invited to attend his friend Wang's wedding on a day in May last year. During the banquet, he was found lying on the floor unconscious after drinking too much alcohol. After being rushed to the hospital, the man died choking on his own vomit. Wang was sentenced to pay more than 80,000 yuan ($12,900) to Li's family on the grounds that as the host of the wedding banquet, he should have taken care of the guests.
