Silly fight over hongbao game

A couple in Wuhan, Hubei province smashed their mobile phones in anger after a fight over getting online red envelopes worth real cash, Wuhan Evening News reported on Tuesday.

On Sunday night, a man surnamed Wang used his wife's phone to grab digital red envelopes containing cash or coupons on Alipay's mobile application, a digital wallet platform backed by Alibaba. The next morning, his wife became angry with him, believing that he had "intruded on her privacy". The two had a fight and Wang, venting his anger, smashed both their phones.

According to the Wuhan Evening News, the couple ended up spending 5,000 yuan ($799) on new phones. Apparently the man only grabbed 7.6 yuan in cash and coupons.
