An online video showing a man bathing his one-year-old kid using cold water from a tap outdoors in Chengdu surprised Internet users, as the baby appeared to enjoy the shower!

The current temperature in Chengdu, a southwestern Chinese city without central heating, is a maximum of 10 degrees Celsius and a minimum of zero degrees Celsius.

"That's kind of extreme. It's so cold out there," Chen, the netizen who posted the video, told Chengdu Business Daily.

The boy's parents, who are both street cleaners, defended their actions by saying the boy should be toughened up in childhood.
