Delivery firms gear up for shopping spree

China's logistics and delivery industry is feeling the strain as the upcoming "Singles' Day" online shopping spree on Nov 11 is approaching, and some companies are recruiting new couriers.
China's online retail giants have launched massive sales for 2014 "Singles' Day", on November 11, or 11-11, chosen for its four "single" ones. Taobao.com, China's biggest online shopping site, which operates Tmall.com, had raked in revenues of 36 billion yuan ($5.8 billion) from 24 hours of sales in 2013.
