Hockey player Wickenheiser named Canada's flag bearer at Sochi

OTTAWA - Canada's ice hockey star Hayley Wickenheiser will carry the national flag at the Sochi Winter Olympics, Canadian Olympic officials announced on Thursday.
Wichenheiser, who has helped Canada's women win three Olympic gold medals and one silver, will compete in her fifth Winter Games in Sochi.
The 35-year-old also helped Canada claim seven world championships.
Speedskater Clara Hughes was the flag bearer for Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics.
