Nadal pulls out of Masters Cup

MADRID - World number one Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the Masters Cup because of injury, the Spaniard said in a statement on his website (www.rafaelnadal.com) on Monday.

"I have decided not to compete at the Masters Cup in Shanghai," the statement said. The season-ending event starts on Sunday.
