WINNERS

Seven times champion Michael Schumacher can take his 90th Grand Prix victory this weekend. His win in Germany for Ferrari was his fifth of the season and third in a row.

The German last won four successive races in 2004. He has never won four races in a row and not been champion.

Renault's world champion Fernando Alonso, with six wins this season and 14 in total, is the second most successful active driver.

Ferrari have won 188 races since the championship started in 1950. McLaren have won 148, Williams 113 and Renault 32.

POINTS/PODIUMS

Schumacher's win in Germany was his 151st appearance on the podium. The nearest other driver was Frenchman Alain Prost with 106 podiums between 1981 and 1993.

Alonso remains the only driver to have scored points in every race this season as well as the only one to finish them all. His last retirement was in Canada in June 2005.

COMEBACKS

Michael Schumacher has clawed back 14 points from Alonso in the last three races. After the Canadian Grand Prix he was 25 points adrift of the Spaniard but is now just 11 behind.

Should the German win the title, it will count as one of the great comebacks in Formula One history but not the all-time record.
