Bingbing is Taipan Chin

Mainland belle Fan Bingbing presents the legendary taipan from old Shanghai and Taipei. The Last Night of Taipan Chin (Jin Daban De Zuihou Yiye), a 36-episode TV drama based on Taiwan writer Kenneth Pai's famed short story, will be broadcast in Beijing TV tonight.
It tells the story of Chin, a woman who survives the nightclub scene in modern Shanghai and Taipei and leads a colorful life.
Fan plays Chin and is the show's producer. She says she shares Chin's strong mind and generosity.
The cast also include Singaporean actress Fann Wong who plays Ren Daidai, Chin's rival in the nightclub, as well as senior Hong Kong actors Anthony Wong and Paul Chun.
The classic story was made into a popular film in 1986 and was subsequently adapted for the stage, starring veteran actress Liu Xiaoqing.
An actress since 16, the 28-year-old Fan set up her own studio two years ago.
