Wang Chao: introduce PPP models

Wang Chao, vice-president of Hohai University, believes that river improvements need government effort.

Wang Chao said, "Liangjiang government should introduce PPP models to solve capital problems facing environmental protection. Economic development creates lots of social capital and the government should guide companies to invest in the environmental industry."

PPP, a financing model known as "public-private partnership", refers to long-term cooperation between the government and private companies on projects, which are funded and operated by the latter and supervised by the former.
