Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co recently put its 34 all-electric buses into operation in Baoshan city, Yunnan province, an indication of the strong competitiveness of new energy autos from Hentong Bus Co of the Liangjiang New Area.

The buses use an ITS-4I intelligent system to monitor energy-consumption, defects, maintenance, scheduling, operational data and drivers' behavior.

According to the Chongqing Hengtong Bus Co the system will warn the driver if the bus door is unclosed and the door will stay closed when the bus can’t be started or its speed is over 5 km/h.

Baoshan municipal government workers said the buses have the advantages of non-secondary pollution, zero exhaust, simple operation, beautiful appearance and comfortable interior decoration.

Hentong Bus Co products are widely popular in over 20 provinces including Yunnan, Sichuan, Shandong and Guangdong.

The Liangjiang New Area plans to produce 560,000 new energy vehicles including cars, buses, freight cars and sanitation trucks by 2020.
