Sanmenxia launches campaign to protect ‘left-behind children’

The city of Sanmenxia in Central China’s Henan province launched a campaign to help "left-behind children" enjoy a healthy childhood on Oct 11.

To cultivate a sound personality and a healthy sense of individuality, a series of activities will be held for the event, including pairing judge families with "left-behind children," popularizing legal education in schools and sending children’s books to raise their legal awareness to protect themselves.

Initiated by Sanmenxia Intermediate People’s Court, the campaign appealed to society regarding issues of "left-behind children," as there are increasing news reports of unfortunate stories and molestation cases in rural areas.
