The Former Site of Xigu Machine Factory of Jinpu Railway is located at 1 East Nankou Road, Heibei District, and listed as important protection historic architecture in Tianjin. Xigu Airport of Jinpu Railway was built by Germans in 1909, and became an important base of locomotives and carriages maintenance and repair base in the then China.

The remaining workshop is a machine repair shop with a double-pitched huge awning, a brick-wood structure, a wooden roof truss and dry walls of glazed quarry bricks. It covers a floor area of 600 square meters. Each bay is supported by a semicircle brick arch while the window is composed of three joining arches. The brick-built vertical lines are adopted to decorate the walls. At the four corners are poles of roof made of bricks.
