Qujiang Film and TV Group, a professional film and TV production company in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, plans to produce a TV drama to tell the story of a hero who contributed his life to the development of China's nuclear weapons.

Produced in cooperation with Qujiang, TV art departments of the PLA and Shanghai Animation Film Studio, the TV drama, which is planned to be shot in early 2014 and completed before October 2014, tells the story of General Lin Junde, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and well-known expert in the field of nuclear explosions and test engineering. Lin Junde (1938-2012) gave his life to China's national defense cause and made great achievements in nuclear weapons research.

The TV drama is expected to air on CCTV in October 2014 as a celebration of the 65th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and 60th anniversary of the successful test of China's first atomic bomb.
