China XD builds 500kV project in Egypt

China XD Group, one of the top power equipment manufacturing companies in China, successfully built its first 500kV system voltage overseas project in Egypt recently.
Cooperating with Egypt Egemac company, China XD Group carried out a project for the 500kV GIS boost substation Sokhna gas-fire power plant. It was the third power project built by XD in Egypt after two 220kV GIS transformer substation projects were successfully completed.
During the construction of the Sokhna 500kV substation, Chinese engineers and workers overcame difficulties such as sand storms, hot weather and political instability to complete the project.
The project has been put into operation, greatly improving the power supply to the Cairo area.
