Mother's love for adopted girl draws admiration

A 45-year-old woman is drawing admiration from many of her neighbors in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, for her dedication to her adopted daughter.

To help pay for her medical bills due to myonecrosis, Li Shufen picks up wastes, and makes and sells fried dough twists.

She found Li Xiangxiang, 4, while picking up waste, early in 2005. She vowed to take care of her.

Li needs to raise at least 150,000 yuan ($22,000) to help pay the medical fees for her daughter who needs surgery.
