Migrant worker goes on roof to proclaim his love

Updated: 2009-01-16 10:43 A love struck man was the center of public attention recently when he went on a roof of a building to proclaim his love for a woman. He unfurled a red banner on the building's roof to show his admiration for the woman, as curious pedestrians paused to stare. "I love you, Miss Cen," the banner said. The incident in Liuzhou, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, took place on Sunday. Police and firefighters later escorted the migrant worker, who is from Laibin, another city in the region, down to safety. The man said that after his girlfriend refused to answer his calls, he had to take drastic action. It's not clear how the woman responded. |
