Four dead in work shed collapse at central China construction site

Updated: 2008-11-06 10:03 Four construction workers were killed and two others were injured when a temporary shed collapsed here on Wednesday. The injured were hospitalized in stable condition, according to the city's work safety administration. The accident happened just after 11 a.m. at an apartment building construction site in suburban Changsha, capital of the central province of Hunan. Witnesses said the wall around the site toppled onto the shed, where eight workers were inside. Two escaped but six were buried in debris. Two died at the scene and another two died en route to hospital. An investigation into the incident is underway. |
