A six-year-old girl was found alone outside a "safe haven" for abandoned children on Thursday in Jinan city, capital of East China's Shandong province. Workers found 2,600 yuan ($412) in her pocket, along with a note giving her birthday as May 5, 2008. The refuge has received 42 abandoned children since opening on June 1. [Photo/CFP] |
